The short answer
An Airbnb website builder is any tool or service that turns a host's Airbnb listing into their own website, so guests can book directly. The listing's photos, description, amenities and house rules become the site's content. What the listing can't provide is a booking engine that shares a calendar with Airbnb — for that you need booking software, or at minimum an inquiry form. What carries over from your listing
More than most hosts expect. The photos, the description, the amenities, the house rules and the check-in details are the core of a rental website. When we build from a listing, we reuse photos, description, amenities, house rules and reviews you have the right to reuse, then add what a listing can't hold: pages about the area, the kinds of guest you suit, and the questions people ask before they book.
Two things don't carry over. Your Airbnb reviews live on Airbnb — you can quote ones you have the right to use, but they won't sync. And your Airbnb calendar isn't a booking engine you can put on your own site.
The part a listing can't give you: a shared calendar
A direct booking site has to know when Airbnb has booked your dates, and Airbnb has to know when your site has. That's what property management software does — Lodgify, OwnerRez, Hospitable, Guesty, Hostfully and others keep one calendar across your listings and your website. It's also why we connect to booking software rather than building a calendar of our own.
If you don't have booking software yet, you're not stuck. We'll recommend one that fits the number of properties you have, or start the site with a simple inquiry form while you choose. What we won't do is add a second calendar that can double-book you.
What Airbnb's rules mean for your new site
Having your own website is your business. What Airbnb's Off-Platform and Fee Transparency Policy restricts is using Airbnb to move guests to it — including "links that take people off of the Airbnb platform in listings or messages" and asking guests "to move current, future, or repeat bookings… off of Airbnb". So don't put your web address in the listing or message it to guests.
The compliant route is to make the site findable on its own: give the property a name worth searching, put your address on the physical things guests touch in the house, and publish the local pages that bring people in from search and AI assistants. Name the property and register the domain
"The Heron House" is searchable; "Cozy 3BR near beach" isn't. The name is what past guests will look for.
Choose booking software
Something that syncs with Airbnb and offers a booking widget or booking link. This is what stops double bookings.
Build the site from the listing
Photos, description, amenities, rules — then the area, guest-type and FAQ pages a listing has no room for.
Connect booking and test it
Embed the booking software's widget and make a test booking on a phone.
Keep it off Airbnb, and keep it growing
No links in the listing or messages. Put the name on the welcome book, and keep publishing local pages.
