What does the AI visibility check look at?
It fetches your home page the way a crawler would, without running JavaScript, and checks four things: whether your content is readable in the page's HTML, whether the page describes itself with structured data, whether it links to local guides and area content, and whether crawlers are allowed in and given a sitemap.
Does a high score mean ChatGPT will recommend my rental?
No. The score measures whether machines can read your site, which is a precondition. Whether an assistant cites you also depends on how specific and useful your content is compared with everything else written about your area. No outside tool can see that from a single request, and we'd be wary of any that claims to.
Why does it matter whether content is in the HTML?
Many crawlers, including several used by AI assistants, read the HTML a server sends and don't run JavaScript. If your text and photos are drawn in the browser by a script, those crawlers receive a nearly empty page.
Do you store the address I enter?
The address is sent to our server so it can fetch your page, and the result is sent back to your browser. We don't ask for your email and the check isn't tied to you.
Can I check my Airbnb or Vrbo listing?
No. A listing is the marketplace's page, not yours, and you can't change how it's built. The check is for a website on your own domain.
